Programs
Healthy Snacks in Schools
Healthy Snacks is a program designed
to help city school children learn
better eating habits and to make
simple, healthy snacks and meals.
This program is currently in place at
McAuliffe and Ogden schools and we
are planning on expanding to
additional schools in 2008.
Family Dinners
Restaurants are for everybody!
These family-friendly dinners are
geared toward sharing good food
with our children. All of us desire a
great dining experience, and these
events also help our children learn
how to interact with servers.
We are always adding new programs and events to our schedule so
please check back with us often or sign up for our mailing list by

Project Dine Out
Project Dine Out is a new initiative to help parents answers the
recurring question of how to eat out with kids in a restaurant
without chicken fingers. Our inaugural event was held at May Street
Market in February.
GFCD Kid's Cafe Family Dinners
We are working in conjunction with the Greater Chicago Food
Depository's Kids Cafe's to help teach older kids how to make a family
dinner. Through this program the kids get to have input on the menu,
prepare, cook and serve dinner to their family.
